The agreement on visa facilitation between India and Russia will come into force on 1 December, after which tourists will be able to receive semi-annual visa procedure and will be easier for business, said Thursday Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich. In October, Foreign Minister of India informed Russia about the fact that India has completed the internal procedures relating to the entry into force was signed in December 2010 the Russian-Indian intergovernmental agreement on simplification of the conditions of travel of individual citizens. Agreement provides that a tourist visa to India will be available for up to six months. Also, it will be easier traveling businessmen, men of science and culture, students of both countries. Will be simplified procedures for issuing visas for entry, transit and departure route, and stay on the territory of the participating agreement for up to 90 days per period of 180 days. The agreement also provides for direct appeals of citizens and organizations for a visa and the ability to issue multiple-entry visas for up to five years.
